Current hours for the public to explore our displays and live animals (summer hours may vary): Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1:00-4:30 pm* (when UC Davis is in session)
*Sometimes due to being short-staffed, we may have to close the museum to the public. It is always good to check in the day you are considering visiting.

The Bohart Museum of Entomology is a research collection, but we welcome visitors as staffing allows. It is free for individuals and families to walk-in and explore our displays and live insects and arachnids during select hours. However, this does not include access to the research collections. If you need to access the research collection, please contact us in advance to make separate arrangements. Email [email protected].
If you are a group (eg scout, class, camp or homeschool) please pre-arrange a fee-based tour at https://bohart.ucdavis.edu/touring-museum. If you are a UC Davis class, group, lab or club, tour fees are waived, but please make advance arrangements with us as well.
Over the academic school year: Mondays and Fridays are reserved for researchers. Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mornings, and all day Thursday can be reserved for pre-arranged outreach programs. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are free for walk-in visitors between 1:00-4:30 pm.
