We understand that it is hard to visit us during the weekdays because of jobs, school and distance to get here. To make our museum more accessible we started offering special weekend hours a few times a quarter. We usually have a theme and some special activities. As always, the museum is free and open to the public. It is a good time to visit because campus parking is free on the weekend and you can park in the permit only parking lot next to our building  (lot 46)!

This is a time for individuals, couples, and families to visit, but unfortunately not large groups without prior notice. Because of the limited size of our space, we ask groups to contact us in advance in case a separate time and date is better. This is a great time for teachers, educators, leaders, and parents to scout us out and talk to us about how to integrate insects and science into your programs.

Mark your calendars for Presidents' Day 2021! February 13, 2021 will be our 10th anniversary.

UC Davis Biodiversity Museum Day
Biodiversity Museum Day is a free, family friendly event that we co-founded in 2012. Last year ~4,000 visitors enjoyed  13 participating biological collections from dinosaurs to nematodes. This is an event to explore the natural sciences at UC Davis, to meet the students, staff and faculty who work in these fields and to just simply geek out! It is typically held on  Saturday  in mid-February.
