Cabbage White Butterflies

There are many ways to engage with the insect world. Here are several ways of thinking about/working with Cabbage White butterflies (Pieris rapae). This is are common butterflies found throughout the United States and beyond. They are an agricultural pest since the larvae (caterpillars) feed on broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprout plants. However, they are established and plentiful, so way not use them to explore: metamorphosis, agriculture, diversity, and climate change among other topics.
