Bohart Museum Ourtreach

Do you like kids?

Do you like insects?

Well, you too could be involved in the Bohart Museum outreach program! You can be involved in one of three ways:

  1. Help give tours at the Bohart Museum. You will lead groups of children through the entry exhibit, butterfly aisle, "Oh My!" drawers, and live insect zoo. Training will be provided on-site.
  2. Travel to local destinations for on-site prsentations. Whether it be a senior center, elementary school classroom, local zoo, daycare center, or science museum, you can travel and talk about entomology. Bringing along materials from the museum, you will bring the Bohart to the children, instead of the children coming to us. Traning will be provided on-site.
  3. Be a design intern. Through video, mulitmedia, webpages, or virtually any type of visual display, you can use your art knowledge to help effectively convey information at the Bohart. An art background is a plus, but no knowledge of entomology is necessary. These internships can be for credit, for a research project, or to fulfill volunteer requirements!
